1758 Panzer IV Ausf. J were produced between June 1944 and March 1945.   They incorporated a number of changes to simplify production and improve performance - the most significant of which was  the replacing of the power traverse with a two-speed hand system.   This enabled the fitting of an extra 44 gal. fuel tank in the engine compartment, significantly increasing the vehicle's operational range.

Ausf. Js fought in France and Italy, as well as on the Eastern Front.
