The Zwillingslafette 36 was a combined seat and pedestal AA mount for two machine guns - initially MG34s, but photographs also show MG42s being used.

It was ground -mounted for static defence or could be carried in a special trailer (MG-Doppelwagen 36) for the protection of infantry on the march.   Between 1937 and 1940 it was produced mounted on the Stoewer Light Personnel Car.   However, it was a universal mount that could be adapted to fit most vehicles, including rail wagons.
